We are looking for young athletes who lead by example, lift their teammates when it matters most, and leave every season better than they found it.


The Unrivaled Athlete award celebrates what the game is all about and the athletes who never needed a trophy to show it.

What is the Unrivaled Athlete Award?

Unrivaled Athlete is an award presented by Unrivaled Sports that celebrates the young players who embody everything youth sports is supposed to be. The players who are leaders on and off the field and whose impact is felt long after the final out.

After nominations close, one player will be selected as the Unrivaled Athlete. We will join the Unrivaled Athlete at an upcoming game, capture their story on camera, and create a :30 commercial airing on CBS Sports during the Ripken National Championships. The selected Unrivaled Athlete will also be honored at Cooperstown All Star Village during Championship Week.

HOW IT WORKS

  1. Coach or Parent Nomination: A coach or parent nominates an athlete by completing a short form on their behalf.
  2. Athlete Submission: The nominated athlete records three short videos sharing who they are, what kind of teammate they are, and what this game means to them.
  3. Review and Decision: Our team reviews every nomination and selects one athlete by early May.

Nominations and athlete submissions must be completed by Wednesday, May 6th to be considered for the Unrivaled Athlete award.
