All teams that register for a Ripken tournament should read through the information sheets below in order to gain full understanding of all rules and procedures prior to the start of the tournament.

  • Bat Rules

13u & Younger: Barrel size must be between 2 ¼ - 2 ¾.  Players may use BPF 1.15, BBCOR, or USA Baseball designations.

13u ONLY: Bat weight may not exceed -8.

14u & Older: Players must use BBCOR designations and weight may not exceed -3.

All-Age Groups: Ripken Baseball follows the USSSA list of banned/withdrawn bats.

New for 2024: Starting this season, the 2017 Demarini CF Zen - Balanced (-5) bat will no longer be allowed and deemed illegal. For additional banned bats, see the complete list below.
